Workshops

I offer individual and small group sessions in the studio; primarily because the studio is a small space and secondly to give a unique and individual learning experience which can be tailored to suit individual needs.

The options below give an overview of the most popular sessions, however I am happy to create a bespoke experience, whether you are wanting a taster session or to develop an existing skill.

All classes include use of equipment, tools and materials.

You should be prepared to get messy and have a lot of fun.  So please wear suitable clothing, bring a towel and apron and something to tie your hair back if required.

FAQ

Working with clay can be messy, so please wear clothes that you are happy to get a little grubby.  It is a good idea to bring an apron and/or old towel to catch any splashes. Short fingernails are recommended.

Depending on the class, you will learn at your own pace and develop skills to work with clay. Classes are small numbers, so plenty of time to ask questions and receive individual tuition and explore your own creativity. The main thing is to have fun.

The clay process cannot be rushed, and each piece needs to have enough time to dry to the next stage. In Summer this can take a few days and in Winter as the humidity increases, this process can slow down. I try to get your pieces processed as quickly as possible, but this can take between 3 and 6 weeks.

I accept cash and card payments and classes are paid for when you come to the studio for your session.

Or you may have a gift voucher that can be redeemed.

Each session includes use of the relevant studio equipment, a selection of tools and suitable type of clay*.

Agreed items will be finished and fired for collection at a later date.

*A generous amount of clay is provided for each session. up to 6kg for a 4 week block of classes, if more clay is required, this can be purchased.

Gift vouchers can be purchased and for lessons or to put towards a piece of pottery.
Please note that when I have reached capacity of outstanding gift vouchers for lessons, I suspend issuing anymore until the backlog is reduced – this ensures that recipients are able to book a session within a reasonable timescale.

Please get in touch to arrange.
